Distancing itself from the simple quiz (which makes out a will without giving the possibility of progressing), 100 Questions wishes to open the way to a new generation of cultural applications, which allow not only to estimate its level but also to progress.

The application 100 Questions thus has for vocation to allow you:

to test you on 500 fundamental points of the culture in the following domains : History, Arts, Sciences and Sports.
to look over the points which would be lacking thanks to a distribution of the knowledge, on one hand, by level (100 questions for the level I, 100 questions for the level II, etc.) and on the other hand, inside every level, by group of 25 fundamental knowledge in all the sub-domains (25 for the Americas, in History, 25 for the Cinema, in Arts, 25 for the Tennis, in Sports, etc.)
to verify that these points are mastered ; so, a card presents you the fundamental knowledge grouped by theme, and 5 by 5, what allows to train very gradually.

Besides, if you wish to deepen the one or other one of 500 selected knowledge, a link Wikipedia will allow you to go farther without going out of the application. If we recognize the limits that Wikipedia can sometimes present, we also recognize it the merit to be the only real project of universalization of the knowledge, and that is why we ask each to consider this link as a discussion rather than as the truth.

So, the purpose of the application is to create what we call a basic general knowledge, architecture of knowledge which allow then to let in the other knowledge. Thus, the purpose of the application is less to play that to replay, to feel that we progress and to reactivate the desire to know.
